Nazalan was trained by Samantha & Jacqueline Coward. He arrived from Tattersalls Autumn Horses In Training Sale in 2024 and his career saw him race 20 times with one win and three places.

In 2023 he won on his second racecourse outing when taking the British EBF Novice Stakes at Sandown with a very impressive front-running display. He was also placed in the Listed Dragon Stakes, again at Sandown, and then ran in the Group 3 Richmond Stakes at Glorious Goodwood where he was ridden by Frankie Dettori.

However, in late 2025 he showed us that he'd fallen out of love with racing and Sam and Jacqueline decided to retire him.

Nazalan was rehomed with Ashleigh and her family near Grange-over-Sands in Cumbria in the late 2025 and they've never looked back.

"Nazalan the most chilled ex racer in all the land," says Ashleigh. "He is even being long reined by my five-year-old daughter. He's the best."

"He's really good. I've been on board a few times in walk after lots of in-hand work. He's been a superstar so far. I think my daughter is going to steal him in a few years time, she loves him so much."

"He does seem very happy with his mini 11 and 12 hands high field friends."
