The colours of Imperial Racing were in the winners' enclosure at Beverley this afternoon as Shimmering Sands took the Hurn Handicap under Shane Gray.
Shimmering Sands is owned by Imperial Racing and John Blackburn.
Finishing runner up on his last outing on the Westwood, he made no mistake this time and saw out the longer trip to record his maiden win by six lengths.
