The weekend marks the end of the turf flat season for 2026, and we'll be sending out our final runners at Doncaster on Saturday.

However, we've plenty of action to look forward to before the finale and Wednesday sees us send horses to Musselburgh and Nottingham.

The Resdev Tyle ran very well on his flat debut when runner up last week, and the dual winning hurdler steps up in trip at Nottingham. The Resdev-owned five-year-old will contest the fourteen furlong novice race, and he'll love the ground having won on soft and good to soft and been flat-placed on heavy ground at Redcar. William Haggas's Indhaar looks the one to beat. Runner up in a Class 3 novice race at Newcastle where he was beaten a length, he looks one to benefit from a step up in trip.

Bust A Move is also a dual winner over timber and he will run in the second division of the ten furlong Conference And Events At Nottingham Racecourse Handicap. It's some 729 days since he raced on the flat, and he's been off the track for 207 days since he finished runner up over hurdles at Market Rasen on his last racecourse appearance.

Bust A Move also boasts good form on easy ground, having won at Newmarket as a juvenile on heavy ground when he turned a nursery handicap into a procession.

Bottom weight Ghost Story should go well here having finished second in an 18-runenr handicap at Doncaster last time on heavy ground.

Bust A Move

The Resdev Scholar ran well last time when runner up at Catterick and there were hints that he may not be far off the form that saw him win three in a row last autumn. The son of Mehmas is a course and distance winner and can cope with cut in the ground. He's just a pound above his highest winning mark and he can go well.

Carolus Magnus loves Musselburgh, and the eight-year-old was runner up over course and distance in September. He's won twice here over seven furlongs, having broken a four year absence from the winners' enclosure in October last year. 'Carlos' as we know him at home will run in the Thank You For The Fun Gweedore Handicap which is the last race of the flat season at the Edinburgh track and the veteran can give a good account of himself here. Wobwobwob, who beat our horse The Resdev Scholar last time out at Catterick, is feared.
