We head to Haydock Park on Friday with three runners.
The Resdev Scholar
had a fine autumn in 2025 and he will be looking to return to winning ways in the second division of the
Haydock M6Toll Road To Victory Handicap
over a mile. The son of Mehmas won three in row last October and November, and this term he's been placed in four of his eight races and as a consequence he's still three pounds above the mark from which he won on the final day of the flat season last November.
The Resdev Scholar has recorded two of his wins on heavy ground, and the ground across the Pennines is currently riding heavy which will help his cause.
Canon's House
runs in the
Weatherbys Stallion Book Handicap
over the minimum trip and he's another looking for his first win of the year after a successful 2025 which saw him improve two stone in the ratings.
Billy Garritty takes the ride from stall 12 as we retain the blinkers that were worn last time when finishing third at Southwell.
Our final runner of the day at Haydock is the sales-bound
J Street
who has already recorded two wins this term. J Street is two pounds above the mark from which she won at Doncaster in the summer, and has form on soft ground back in 2024 when she won at Catterick.
At the end of the month J Street will head for the ring at Tattersalls Autumn Sales and a victory in the 14 runner
Shape Engineering Handicap
would certainly be a positive for her prospects at Newmarket.
We run one horse at Redcar where
Bravo Hotel
lines up for the
Every Race Live On Racing TV Handicap
. Bravo Hotel has run three times this year, and last time finished fourth of six here and we now step up to six furlongs. He carried a first time visor last time and this is retained as Joanna Mason takes over from Billy Garritty.
Bravo Hotel is another heading to the sales at the end of the month and this could be his las outing for connections.
