Friday sees us head to Wales where Sovereignlightcafe runs in the North Wales Business Day Novices' Hurdle at Bangor-on-Dee. The extended two miles and three furlongs is further than he's raced before but he has plenty of stamina and the extra distance should help his cause.

It's over nine years since we sent out a winner at the Clwyd track, Ganbei being the victorious horse back in 2017, and we hope that Sovereignlightcafe can get his hurdling career back on track after a 251 day break.

Patrick Wadge takes the ride in a race where just five horses will face the judge.

The top-rated horse in the race is Hoe Joly Smoke and he is hugely favoured by the weights. He's a winning steeplechaser who has won from a mark of 127 and if he runs to form he will be very hard to beat. If Hoe Joly Smoke doesn't read the script then the 109-rated mare Iamyouare went close last time at Uttoxeter and could make a bold show and looks the one for the forecast.
