Von Trotter heads to Ripon on Saturday in a bid to get his head in front for the first time.

Runner up in his first three starts on the all weather, the son of Mattmu has struggled in four outings on turf. The handicapper has given him a chance by dropping his turf rating to 60 and he'll tackle a race in which none of the horses have won this year.

Von Trotter will be partnered by Billy Garritty in the Aldwark Manor Estate Luxury Yorkshire Hotel 'Confined' Handicap as he aims to improve on his sixth placed finish at York last time.
