Five-time winning mare
Carlton And Co
heads to Hamilton for the
Morton Fraser Macroberts LLL Handicap
on Thursday. The daughter of Havana Gold has been a good servant to her Scotland-based owners and she'll be running in their homeland as she bids for her first win of the season. A three-time winner in 2025 she's a consistent sort and will hopefully have come on for her first outing of the season when eighth at Catterick last month.
Draupnir
will run in the
Global Stallions Handicap
, having finished fifth over course and distance last time out. A winner at Thirsk last September on soft ground, he may get some cut in Scotland with heavy rain forecast.
Draupnir
Call To Action
is our final runner of the day in Scotland and he'll tackle the
Aspire Cleaning & Facilities Ltd Handicap
. A winner at Ripon last July, he ran well when runner up at Pontefract when returning from a ten month break but didn't build on that when ninth at Pontefract last month after hanging left during the race. A lightly raced five-year-old, he'll be ridden for the first time by Billy Garritty.
Yaajooz
has sneaked into the
Book Your Autumn Hospitality Packages Now Handicap
at the foot of the handicap and will be ridden by Lewis Chalkley at Wetherby. Winless since he was bought out of a Thirsk claimer in 2024, Yaajooz has been amongst the places but has yet to get his head in front for his new owners. Jockey Lewis Chalkley has been in fine form lately, and last week recorded his first double. Chalkley's seven pound claim means Yaajooz has the benefit of just eight stone and seven pounds on his back, and he's been drawn in stall 14.
