It's been a busy weekend on the rehoming front.
On Saturday morning we rehomed a two-year-old gelding by Belardo who headed to the Pennines near Huddersfield. He'll be turned out to grow and come back in next year to begin his retraining for eventing.
Jenna sent us this lovely video of her two-year-old, who will be known as Artemis, enjoying time out in the lovely scenery of West Yorkshire.

On Sunday morning August Spring (Gustav) had a last look around the yard and said goodbye to his friends before heading to Ayrshire where he'll be retrained for a new career by new owner Rhona. Gustav raced on the flat and also in a National Hunt Flat Race and left the yard at 11 o'clock this morning on the long journey to Scotland. A calm, kind and gentle giant standing at 16.3hh he's been a yard favourite here and we look forward to following his career.
"He's doing really well considering his five hour journey as well!" said Rhona after his drive up to Scotland. "He settled into stable fine last night. He had a wee leg stretch in pen this morning and here he is spoiled in magnetic rug already!" |

Davenport Lass, a three-year-old filly by Coulsty, also departed from New House Farm for the final time on Sunday morning. Known as 'Sally', she raced just once but didn't have the speed to be a winner and will enjoy her retirement in Cumbria with Vicky. She's settled well and has buddied up with Vicky's mare Ruby who will help her adjust to life after racing.
