Multiple flat winner Two Brothers recorded his first jumps win last time in a dead heat at Carlisle and heads back to Cumbria to tackle the
Book In Advance Save £5 Handicap Hurdle
on Saturday.
The eight-year-old shared the honours last month with Ryebridge and the two horses will lock horns again in the first division of the contest over the same course and distance.
Two Brothers is a five-time flat winner and also boasts one victory over timber. Owned by Oli and Gavin Thompson he's been a fantastic servant and is just £1,589 short of the £100,000 prizemoney landmark.
The race has attracted a decent field and four of the five horses that won last time out have been assigned to Division I. The early race favourite is Olly Murphy's Moyganny Phil, who steps up in trip after finishing third at Huntingdon last month over two miles. The obvious danger is Ryebridge after last month's dead heat, whilst Wind Your Neck In and Las Canals are in-form horses who look set to run big races.
After winning in first time cheekpieces last tie out we now put the visor back on, this being the headgear that transformed Two Brothers' flat career when first worn in 2022.
