On Saturday we send three horses to Southwell where there's an evening of all weather racing.

Tommo's Ginjaninja bids for his first career victory as he contests the first division of the Win £250,000 With BetMGM's Golden Goals Restricted Novice Stakes. Eight go to post with the race being split after 16 declarations were made at the overnight stage.

Placed in both of his starts to date, Tommo's Ginjaninja was second on his debut at Wolverhampton at the beginning of January where he ran very green in the early stages and was tailed off at one point but the penny dropped later in the race and he finished fast to take second place on the line behind Stellar Vision.

'The Ginjaninja' was third last time out behind Terranoble at Wolverhampton. The first two home haven't raced since, and the fourth and fifth have been well beaten on their next starts, so the form is difficult to assess.

For his third racecourse outing Tommo's Ginjaninja reverts to seven furlongs as he has his first outing at Southwell. He's learning with experience and he'll be ridden again by Joanna Mason who gets along well with him.

The standard in the race is set by the 76-rated Shafi. James Tate's colt was a ready course and distance winner when last seen in October and looks the one to beat here. Master Of Keraunos also showed ability when third on his racecourse debut at Chelmsford earlier this month.

Debutant Rocklaw is a good looking filly by Lope Y Fernandez.

Division II of the race sees Rocklaw, owned by Nick Bradley Racing, make her racecourse debut. A daughter of Lope Y Fernandez, who was winner of the Group 3 Round Tower Stakes and also placed in multiple Group 1 races. She is out of the Lawman mare Rocklaw and is a half-sister to winner Lightening Gesture.
Liverpool Star will have to wait until the final race on the card to make his seasonal debut. The son of Acclamation lines up for the Bet £10 Get £40 With BetMGM Handicap. He's run well on the all weather before, being beaten a head at Newcastle and then finishing two and a half lengths behind Guernsey Angel when fourth of six over today's course and distance in December. The latter race has since thrown up two winners and the form looks solid.
