Big Love runs in the Raceday Ready Juvenile Maiden Hurdle which opens the card at Catterick on Friday.

Our horse was struggling in the latter stages of his race at Wetherby last week and was pulled up before three out. However, the vet reported after the race that the gelding had lost his left fore shoe.

The Dan Skelton-trained Square d'Alboni, once rated 108 on the flat, will be very difficult to beat if translating his form on the level to hurdles. He was third last time at Newbury in a stronger contest than this. Square d'Alboni was bought back for 950,000 guineas at Tattersalls in 2024 but last year fetched just 45,000 guineas at the Autumn Sales.

Donald McCain's Hellion looks the best of the rest.
