Rehoming

One of the kindest and gentlest horses we have ever handled, On Sabbatical joined us as a yearling in 2021 from Tattersalls Sales.

He raced four times, but only beat one horse home in his efforts, and was retired in August 2023 after finishing last at Leicester.

We decided to find On Sabbatical a new career after racing and he was rehomed on his first viewing by Lucy.

"I've seen lots of lovely posts on horses for rehoming and also past horses re-homed so I thought I would share some recent photos of the gorgeous Sebastian (On Sabbatical)," says Lucy.

"He's such a beautiful boy. He's really coming on, looking absolutely fabulous (if I do say so myself) and ready to start the new year with a bang. I have focussed on the flatwork to build his topline and he's developing well. He's proving a nice jumping horse too so hoping to get out to some cross country in the new year."

"The video show him playing with his Christmas treat ball and he loves having fun with it."

If you have an ex-Mick and David Easterby racehorse please do send in your photos and videos and we'll feature them on our website.

On Sabbatical was a real favourite with the staff.
