Blueandtangerine was a juvenile winner but has yet to trouble the judge this year and she runs in the Bet £10 Get £40 With BetMGM Handicap. She drops back to seven furlongs having tackled a mile in her last two outings. Blueandtangerine faces a maximum field of 14 runners and wears a first time hood. There are plenty of dangers in the race with some in form horses lining up. Heretic has won two of his last three races, both at Southwell, and will benefit from a drop back to seven. Bullington Bry returned from a break when beaten a short head over course and distance and should go well. Reginald Charles is a course and distance winner and ran very well on the turf when last seen at Redcar in October and he might be the one to be on here. As an aside, Reginald Charles is named after the late Reg Bond who established the Bond Thoroughbred Corporation. Reg was a good friend and the breeder of a number of winners who have passed through the yard, including the great Hoof It. |
