A few months ago we rehomed a fabulous gelding by Ulysses. He didn't make it as a racehorse but we knew he'd excel off the track. Dude now lives in South Wales with Vanessa and he's proving a very special horse. "From the minute he arrived he's been a pleasure," said Vanessa. " I feel very lucky to have found this super cool dude." "As he's still a baby we are taking everything slowly but we've been out hacking, both solo and in company, done lots of schooling including introducing some trotting poles and just had time to bond." "I've truly fallen in love with this 'oss'. We are planning a beach ride next month and our first dressage test later this year. He really is one in a million." "I'm in the process of filling in the paperwork to name him but we chose the name as we live in an old vicarage - so we are naming him Seren Y Ficerdy (star of the vicarage)". We wish Vanessa and Dude many happy years together and look forward to following his progress! |
